For us, sustainability is not a single certificate — it is a holistic approach that permeates material choices, production, packaging, partners, and product design.

"Every toy begins as a tree in a responsibly managed forest."
Wood is one of nature's most sustainable materials — renewable, biodegradable, and beautiful. The majority of our range is made from solid wood and plywood. Some products use MDF or engineered wood — always from certified sources. A small part of our range uses bio-based materials such as wheat straw as a more sustainable alternative to conventional plastic.
Our FSC® certification (licence code FSC-C216506) guarantees that the wood we use comes from responsibly managed forests. FSC is an independent, international standard for sustainable forestry.
Verify certificateAll paints, lacquers, and surface treatments are thoroughly tested for harmful substances. We use only materials approved for contact with children.
The most sustainable toy is the one that lasts. Our products are designed to be passed from child to child — reducing the need for new production and waste.
Packaging is part of a product's environmental footprint. We continuously work to minimise packaging, use recycled materials, and avoid unnecessary plastic.
We are conscious of our climate footprint and actively work to reduce it — from choice of materials and production methods to transport and packaging.
Sustainability doesn't stop at the product — it applies to the entire supply chain. We choose partners who share our values on environment, working conditions, and accountability.

A small but meaningful part of our range uses wheat straw — an agricultural by-product that would otherwise be burned or discarded. We turn it into durable, safe, and beautiful toys.
01 — Harvest
Wheat grain is harvested, leaving dry stalks behind
02 — Process
Stalks are dried, ground into fine powder, and blended with a food-grade binder
03 — Test
Every batch tested to EN 71 and ASTM F963 child safety standards
04 — Play
Durable, safe toys that last through years of joyful play
Wheat straw is the dry stalk left over after wheat grain is harvested. Traditionally burned in fields, it is now processed into a fine powder and blended with a food-grade binder to create a rigid, durable material — without mining new resources or producing virgin plastic.
Made from crop waste that would otherwise be burned — no new land or resources needed.
Produces significantly less CO₂ than conventional ABS or PP plastic during manufacturing.
Free from BPA, phthalates, and heavy metals. Tested to EN 71 and ASTM F963 child safety standards.
Comparable strength and durability to conventional plastic — designed to last through years of play.
Wheat is harvested annually, making straw a continuously renewable raw material unlike fossil-based plastics.
Our wheat straw collection includes stacking toys, shape sorters, and activity sets — all rigorously tested.
Every Kinder and Kids toy is a choice for your child and for the planet.
